Works with current versions of Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT (older app versions are supported too).

Getting your key

Sign in or create a free Check MCC account.
Verify your email — we send a verification link at signup (you can resend it from your profile page).
Open your profile and create a key under “MCP API keys”. The key is shown once — copy it somewhere safe. You can hold up to 2 keys and revoke them anytime.

What you can ask

Find a merchant

“What MCC does Shopee use?” — returns the merchant, its category and a link to its Check MCC page. Up to 5 matches per question.

Explain a code

“What is MCC 5411?” — returns the category name, a plain description and how many merchants we hold for it.

Best cards for a category

“Best cards for MCC 5411” — the top 3 cards with their rewards rate, caps and key conditions. Ranking is never influenced by affiliate links.

Fair-use limits

Each key: up to 60 questions every 15 minutes and 1,000 a day.
Each answer: up to 5 merchants and 3 cards.
If you go over, the service simply asks your app to wait a moment and try again.

Set up the Check MCC MCP server for me, then verify it works.

1. Add an HTTP MCP server named "check-mcc" with the URL: https://www.check-mcc.sg/mcp
2. It needs an Authorization header: "Authorization: Bearer ccmcp_MY_KEY" — my key is below; ask me for it if it is missing.
3. The server provides three read-only tools: lookup_merchant, get_mcc_info and best_card_for_mcc.
4. Once connected, verify by looking up the merchant "Shopee" and tell me its MCC code and category.
5. Keep the "Source: check-mcc.sg" line that comes with every answer — attribution is required.

Connect your app

Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address https://www.check-mcc.sg/mcp and add your Check MCC key (Authorization: Bearer ccmcp_YOUR_KEY). Free plans are limited to one custom connector.

Cursor

Settings → MCP → Add server. Choose an HTTP server, paste the address https://www.check-mcc.sg/mcp, and enter your Check MCC key as the authorization.

Claude Code

Add Check MCC as an HTTP MCP server with the same address and your Check MCC key.

ChatGPT

Add Check MCC as a connector/app in your workspace settings, then sign in with your Check MCC key as the authorization. Custom connections need your workspace's admin to enable apps (available on Business, Enterprise and Edu plans).
