Best Credit Cards in Singapore (2026)

Miles or cashback, the “best” card depends on where your money actually goes. Every card below links to its full MCC bonus-category breakdown, so you can match the card to the merchants you already pay.

How to pick, fast

✈️ Want miles
Check the earn category
Miles cards pay 2–4 MPD only on bonus MCC categories — verify your merchant's code on its CheckMCC page before applying.
💵 Want simple cashback
Check the caps
Cashback rates are tiered and capped monthly — the rate you earn is the one that survives the cap and minimum-spend rule.
🔍 Not sure where you spend
Look up your merchants
Use the MCC database to see which MCC codes your favourite merchants post under, then pick the card that bonuses them.

Some card pages carry application links — we may earn a commission, at no cost to you. Commission never affects card ranking or eligibility; see our editorial policy.

Best cashback credit cards

Direct % back on groceries, dining, transport and more. Most require a monthly minimum spend — each guide lists the tiers and caps.

Why there is no single “best” card

Credit card rewards are paid out by MCC code — the four-digit Merchant Category Code attached to every transaction. Two cards with the same headline rate can pay very differently on the same purchase if one bonuses the merchant's MCC and the other excludes it.

Before you apply, check three things on the card's guide page: the bonus MCC categories, the monthly cap per category, and the minimum-spend rule that unlocks the top rate. Issuers also change terms — the guides note each card's last-checked date, and you should confirm the current terms with the bank.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which credit card is the best in Singapore in 2026?

There is no single best card — the right choice depends on your spending pattern. Big spenders on dining and petrol do well with category cashback cards, while frequent travellers usually earn more with miles cards that bonus travel and foreign-currency MCCs.

Miles or cashback — which earns more?

Miles win if you actually redeem flights: at typical valuations a 4 MPD bonus beats a 4–6% category cashback cap. Cashback wins on simplicity and on spend that no miles card bonuses. Compare the specific MCC categories you pay at, not the headline rates.

How do I check if a purchase earns the bonus rate?

Find the merchant's MCC code on CheckMCC, then open the card's guide and check whether that MCC is in a bonus category. Both checks take seconds and prevent most “why didn't I earn rewards?” surprises.

Match a card to where you actually spend

Search any merchant to see its MCC code and which cards earn bonus rewards on it.
